Forces of Evil

“There are forces of evil in the world that do not want this book to be written.”

My friend, Renee, hit the nail on the head. The angelic appearance that inspired my work-in-progress, Angels & Enemies, is worthy of a separate blog, and I have written about it before. As my work on the project, and my understanding increased of how angels and fallen angels create their presence on earth, strange things began happening. Downright weird. For the sake of brevity, I’ll list them.

  • I began suffering physically, being unable to digest myfood properly. I had some sort of an intestinal blockage. With limited financial resources, I sought specialists to diagnose the problem, and ran out of moiney before they could do the endoscopic tests I requested from the beginning. An understanding secretary in the office of the gastroenterologist made some sample medications appear and portions of the bill disappear. Finally, the blockage passed with the help of a program of diet and exercise recommended by personal trainer Susanne Alberto. The day that blockage passed — more than six months after it began — is perhaps the closest I’ve been to heavenly grace.
  • The inability to digest your food properly leads to other haelth issues, primarily exhaustion.
  • I developed odd skin lesions on my legs and chest.
  • I rarely remember dreams, but I started having dreams about being attacked by insects.
  • The house. I can begin to talk about this now because the house is sold. I started to believe that the house was haunted and inhabited by a demonic presence. I lived alone (ha ha, or so I thought) but items in the house would be moved from where I kept them. Things in the house broken for no apparent reason. Cabinets and drawers would not open, and then, much later, they would. Noises.
  • A proliferation of cats in the yard. I watched them, and they seemed to be trying to protect the domicile from spirits of some sort.
  • Extraordinary distractions. I know, all writers and everyone else has distractions. I am usually very focused, but was faced with daily major issues that required my attention and pretty much wasted my time. Things like 11 brownout/blackouts in one year; a near-new car battery failing; it is worth mentioning because of the frequency with which my life was put on hold.

NOTE: After writing this, my internet connection was disrupted and I was unable to publish it. I lost several paragraphs, which I can re-send after i get my home computer internet connection restored. See?

    Lincoln and Douglass

Black History Month Video No. 4

Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass forged a friendship based in mutual respect that changed a nation.

    Frederick Douglass Breaking the Barriers

Frederick Douglass achieved many successes, breaking many barriers for African-Americans. Here is a video, and I do emphasize that this is a mini-documentary, and not at all a part of the action-adventure feature-length screenplay, NORTH STAR: THE LIFE OF FREDERICK DOUGLASS.

The Time Is Now for NORTH STAR: THE LIFE OF FREDERICK DOUGLASS

Here is my impassioned plea for producers to option and create a feature-length action-adventure film from the award-winning original screenplay, North Star: The Life of Frederick Douglass.
